Hazy, Hot and Humid

Happy Monday everyone! Summer finally decided to pay a visit to New England. After almost two months of cool weather and record lows, today feels like the good ole' fashioned summers I'm used to complaining about. Hazy, hot and humid. Yes, the air is heavy and sticky. The skies carry a threat of thunderstorms off in the distance. The horseflies are following my every move. But make no mistake, I'm not complaining. I couldn't be happier. Thank you sweet summer for stopping by. I do hope you'll stay a while.

Your hammock looks so inviting! I just ordered one yesterday and can't wait to take a summer nap in it. It's hot here too. I crave these days so often throughout the year, so I'm not complaining either, but it sure is hot : +

Yes, I LOVE my hammock. I've had many good naps there, but most of all, I love watching my little girl fall off to sleep while I rock away. Stay cool.

OH...my dream...summer in New England. I LOVE NEW ENGLAND. I live in California..born and raised. But I am NOT a California girl. Don't tell anybody..but I don't like the beach....I am pretending that I live in a farmhouse in Maine. My friend, Sharon lives half here in San Luis Obispo and half on Christmas Cove in South Bristol, Maine. It's a lucky year for me when I am able to go visit. Hurrah for a New England Summer, I say.
Best,
Kary

Boy, you said it! Since it came so late, do you think warm weather will last until, oh...Thanksgiving? I'm hearing "no" from folks who forcast these things, but I can always hope for a nice long fall. (though the humidity can take a break).

Isn't that the truth- desparate for summer... then it arrives at it can be so miserably fantastic! It has been reaching the low 100's here, but like you I will keep my mouth shut. Atleast it ain't snowin'! Although to you I will secretly say I'm kinda excited for fall!

Love the photos.

Virginia has been unseasonably cool this summer and it's only just this week that the humidity has kicked in. Even still, it's 10 degrees cooler than usual. I'm not complaining!
