Best Pick for the Weekend

The warm spring around these parts is bringing an early crop of fresh strawberries. This is a good weekend to find a pick-your-own berry farm and stock up on these juicy fruits before they pass. You can even freeze them for smoothies and other treats later. Support your family farms and check out Local Harvest for a farm near you. Happy weekend!

They look yummy. Here in the south the strawberries are pretty much over. I just wish the season lasted longer. Carla

I just had some strawbs today from a local Asdas (Now run by Wal Mart here in teh UK) and they were actually very lovely...not at all forced. Your s look even better! How about preserves - do you make a load?

I only eat organic strawberries so I am just waiting for our local farm to open so we can go pick them ourselves! Such a treat!

This is one of my favorite things to do every summer! My meager little strawberry patch does not produce nearly enough berries to meet my needs. Hope you are enjoying yours!

We did that this weekend. I try to support our local farmers as much as possible. Makes them eating them more the sweeter.
