Cape Cod Cranberries

One of the oldest farming organizations in this country is The Cape Cod Cranberry Growers' Association, established in 1888. This is the time of year when the cranberry farmers get busy with the harvest of this healthful fruit. If you're looking for a fun family fall trip then join the 6th Annual Cranberry Harvest Celebration, Saturday and Sunday, October 10 - 11, 2009. You'll get to see the beauty of the bogs and dream up new cranberry recipes for your Thanksgiving feast.

Our backyard, through the woods ,butts to a Cranberry Bog (our area is rich with them). It's reassuring to know it is there and will never become development invading our privacy. The bogs are one of the things that make our part of New England so wonderful this time of year. Thanks for sharing.
